Latest projects
The June Bidding Round has just been completed and 18 projects were awarded grants through the Your Wirral funding scheme totaling £36,048.
The successful projects included:
Tam O’Shanter Urban Farm – the grant will help towards the installation of sensory equipment to animate existing play equipment so that less able children and those with learning difficulties can engage more with their environment.
Charing Cross Methodist Neighbourhood Centre – will provide new doors in the vestibule area of the centre for wheelchair users along with added security locks and entry system.
Inclusive Access (UK) Ltd. - This will allow them to run 2 Disability Awareness raising seminars for voluntary and community sector organisations. The key themes of the sessions will be to offer advice to the voluntary and community sector on improving access to their buildings and services for local people who face discrimination.
Friends of Ashton Park – the grant will help towards extending the current children’s playground, to provide play equipment for the 10 – 16 years alongside the current facility.
